Purpose

We use cookies to collect information such as how the website works and how visitors use our website.Some information is automatically collected by the website's data processor through cookies when you visit the website.  

SLU will also process your personal data as required for SLU to comply with regulations on public documents and the archives of public authorities.

Categories of personal data and sources

The NextGenCarbon website uses cookies. Cookies help to provide you with the best user experience when browsing the website. Cookies also allow the site to be improved. Some of the cookies collect online identifier information, in this case the visitor’s IP-address, to improve analytics functionality. There are two types of cookies used on the NextGenCarbon website:

Session cookies: A session cookie is only saved temporarily during your site visit.

Persistent cookies: Persistent cookies are stored in a file on your computer for a limited time. They are used to improve your experience as a recurring visitor of our websites.

The principle of public access to information 

As a public authority, SLU must apply the principle of public access to official documents. This means that all official documents, including personal data, that are not considered working material are public and can be released to anyone who requests them. However, if a document contains data that is subject to confidentiality, the document will not be released.

Loopia AB is used for data processing. The purpose of Loopia’s Processing of Personal Data on behalf of SLU is to fulfil Loopia’s obligations according to the Service Agreement.

Storing data

We will store your data for as long as the project is in operation (2025-2029). Your personal data will also be stored for as long as required by the Public Access to Information Act and the regulations on the archives of public authorities. SLU’s project management team within the NextGenCarbon project, Loopia and their subcontractors have access to the personal data.

Your rights

You have the right, under certain circumstances, to have your personal data erased, corrected or limited. You also have the right of access to the personal data being processed, and you have the right to object to the processing of your data. To exert your rights contact dataskydd@slu.se.

Withdrawing your consent

SLU’s processing of your personal data is based on consent. You have the right to withdraw this consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect the use of personal data that has already been collected.
